HE'S BACK

Up with the alarm this morning, and off down the M8 to Glasgow Airport, to meet the flight from Schiphol at 7.50 am.

My older son has been in East Africa for the last four weeks. Great to see him safe and well, together with two of his team. Rucksacks on front and back, weighed down. He even had a djembe drum in the big sack (saving that for tomorrow's blip!).

He has been working with children's clubs. In Kenya, he was in Siaya Village, with Swahiba Youth Networks, and in Uganda he met up with a team in Kampala for a week in Kamuge Village. He also visited a school in Jinga and went white water rafting down the Nile. So many stories. I think his visits to the slum areas in Nairobi and Kampala really touched his heart.

He's exhausted, worked really hard, has had an experience of a life time. I am very proud of him. He does occasionally Blip, so I hope he posts some of his 3000+ photos for you to see once he has recovered.
