Safe haven
We were rather rudely awoken very early this morning by some unexpected strong winds at4am! This resulted in a flurry of activity from Mags who had been sleeping up on deck, as she dived below with bedding cushions and other items not ties down. Captain Helen scurried about checking we had a safe anchor and counting her crew.
By 8am all was calm and we had a slow breakfast whilst deciding on today’s excursion.
We headed back out back up the coast aiming for a short day to escape later winds forecast.
Our first choice mooring was already taken by a greedy boat that for some reason and blocked the bay. So we headed round to another quiet spot and had lunch .
Captain decided it wasn’t quiet enough and we could do better. So off to another cove and a very peaceful mooring. A nice spot for a swim and entertaining by a herd of goats bouncing along the rocky shore.
Grateful for a quieter night.
