Splashing the Cash

Today I have been honed to as much perfection as it is possible with my feet and hair. My tootsies have been manicured and buffed to dizzying heights and my hair has been shorn to within an inch of its life, all the better for a summer which will include much northern sea immersion. I can’t say there was much pampering along the way, but that has all been reflected in the price.

On the way home from the hairdresser, I popped in to see daughter#2 on her day off just to make sure she was still able to deposit me at the airport on Saturday. Granddaughter Phoebe was back from University and it was good to catch up with her and pose for blips. Just as I arrived home, the heavens opened and there was an almighty shower of rain which lasted for over 30 minutes. I count myself lucky not to have been caught in it without a raincoat.

The only minus today was the failure of Amazon to get into the building to deliver a very small parcel to me. I was out and it seems the other 6 neighbours were as well . That has never happened before and is very annoying especially as the concierges don’t accept  parcels any more.
