Another View from the Drying Ground
The forecast being better today I did a quick fitness session after breakfast and put some washing in before the supermarket delivery arrived, then I was up to the Drying Ground to tackle the large bed of brambles which need to go. It's slow work with the roots running for some distance underground but there is something strangely satisfying about pulling them out.
I broke for lunch and to hang out the washing, and to rest before heading back up for another couple of hours. The odd aeroplane passed overhead, the birds twittered in the trees behind, the occasional walker came by, delivery vans motored up the street and it was a pleasant way to spend my time.
When it was time to head home to prep dinner I paused to walk to the top of the site where I had been working to blip this view across the bottom section of the Drying Ground to the forest beyond. Oh, and I dug out an old door lock and a metal bucket handle!
