Chase Michael

It has rained all day. We will wish for more of it this summer so I’d never complain about it. Since we couldn’t attend the graduation, we had to figure out how to watch the streamed event. We’re too old but we got it to work just as the incoming procession started. Hooray! The speakers were asked to limit their remarks to 3 minutes. And that was a good call. The speeches were interesting and concise. Having a last name beginning with “T”, meant Chase was near the back. An interesting tidbit, there are 12 sets of twins in his class of 2025! One brother and sister set were the joint salutatorians. We met Chase and his parents at a new (to us) restaurant in town. They offered their signature milkshakes as a gift to any graduates dining there today. Hubby had a dermatologist appointment so he had to leave early. I ate my Cobb salad while those beside me enjoyed juicy smash burgers. Oh my. The waitress took him to meet the owner about a possible summer job. Chase brought me home so I could get a photo of him in his cap and gown. It’s nap time. Wishing him much success as he pursues a political science degree from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Be safe. Thanks for stopping by. "The future is always uncertain, but we who celebrate what you have done, who celebrate all of your achievements, we are certain of one thing on this day: You will not let us down." - Tom Hanks
