Paisley and The Day Before
We drove from Edinburgh to Paisley this morning and checked into the hotel, where we’ll be till Friday.
We then went to Paisley Abbey, where we were warmly received and talked through the logistics for tomorrow. Nice that Linda, the office manager, had actually met Jean, having stayed at her bed and breakfast in Pitlochry many years ago. Bb was also able to get a feel for the size and space of the side chapel where the service will take place tomorrow and where he’ll deliver the eulogy. What a beautiful place.
We visited Jean in the funeral parlour and it was comforting to talk to the director who will be involved tomorrow.
For the rest of the afternoon, we drove and walked around different parts of Paisley, walking past the different places where she lived here. We finished the afternoon in Brodie Park, another place full of memories as it’s where she and Alex walked their children in their prams and where the children all played. A rich and satisfying day. We’re tired now and ready for an early night.
Quite a few extras here because I want to record the day.
