Callum’s Road
A bike ride today - the length of Raasay’s road system including the final one and three quarter miles on Callum’s Road. Hand built between 1974 and 1974! It has a lot of grit boxes, arrows on the map, bends and other alerts to cyclists that this is a tough one. I reckon I cycled about 30 miles but it felt a lot more. And for variety a walk from the end on a loop of small paths round to the tidal island of Fladda where I picnicked. Start the big drive home tomorrow. It’s going to rain. Heavily.
