Highlands to Lowlands

A day of two halves and a lot of driving behind slow traffic. Started with the Raasay ferry in the pouring rain - I didn’t even get out of the van for the 25 minute crossing. Quick stop for a waterfall looking very different to my walk a few days earlier. I paused for a picnic break overlooking Dalwhinnie as the sun came out before joining the A9. High winds took over as the weather feature for the rest of my journey. Arrived at N Berwick in time for a decent beach walk and paddle as well as sunset later - see extra photo montage. I found the large flotilla of eider duck that are usually here, saw a curlew and now the owls are hooting in the woods so all is good.
