Dark Lane

Revisited this morning.

It sheltered me from the rain. 

Dark Lane is a. cutting, deep into the rock, originally a local limestone quarry. 

Now an access track to a house that is unoccupied but was recently the home of parents of two brothers. 

Farming family.

The embankments on either side are high. Fifteen feet in places. Densely clad with ferns, mature trees and other vegetation 

I saw the house today but it was blocked off by a gate and access to take photos was not possible..
