Gaudi - Casa Mila

As this is a Gaudi designed building we must be in Barcelona today. Although I enjoyed the visit to the city, I was a little disappointed in some ways. We obviously visited the cathedral, the area was very crowded, and is obviously partially a building site. I took some photographs of the cathedral but they are not worthy of posting. The extra shows the Arc de Triomf. It was built for an exhibition in 1888.

We had a nice lunch at a wine bar in the Rambla de Catalunya. Service was a little slow, at one point we wondered if we would have to leave before our tapas arrived. The bar was very crowded, exclusively by locals apart from ourselves. Given the slowness of the service my impression was lunches in Barcelona are not restricted to 1 hour! A light lunch took us about 90 minutes.
