A very long walk

Today we arrived in Valencia. This may have been one of the top three cities of the two week trip. We walked a huge distance today. A shuttle bus took us from the ship into the City. It dropped us next to the park created from the former River running through the city.

We walked across a bridge through the gate and found a way to the cathedral. From here we walked to the covered market. There were several stalls at the market selling paella. I was a very tempted but there was nowhere to sit.

We walked a bit farther and then decided we would head back to the ship. To do this we had to find the shuttle bus. When the we emerged from the historic centre to the same park we were a long way from where the bus would collect us. It was a very long walk, under the baking sun, before we eventually arrived at the pick up point.
