Poppies and Keke-Napep or Auto Rickshaw
The top photograph is pretty obvious. Lovely Poppy display, self seeded against a gate post into the 'Abbeymead Open Spaces' park.
This is where Ziggy and I often go for a walk and today we were walking through the park, out the opposite side onto 'Abbeymead Avenue' to walk the 25 minutes to the garage to pick up the i20 after MoT and Service. Passed the MoT with no advisements. Well, it is normally 25 minutes but more like 35 minutes with the male dog Ziggy doing a scenting wee every 10/20 yards! Anyone with a male dog will know exactly what I mean.
As we neared the garage (Halfords) I spotted this three wheeled vehicle. Very reminiscent of the pedal driven rickshaws that I often travelled in when stationed at RAF Seletar, Singapore, in 1969-1971.
I searched for 'Three wheel car' and this immediately came up, along with many others such as the Reliant Robin, Slingshot etc.
Good old Wikipedia came up trumps and gave me lots of names for the vehicle
The only reference I can find, regarding engine size, is 200cc which is why they are so economically popular. One quote, in the Wikipedia article, puts the mileage at 35km per litre / 99 miles per gallon.
There are many names for this vehicle, around the world, as in the beginning of the article.
