Bon Voyage
We (adults - teenagers don't do early rising) were woken by the sound ofVIC 32 firing up her engines, and sat out on the deck in our PJs to watch her sailing off. Clouds of black smoke - but apparently it comes from biofuel, so not polluting the pure air of the Kyles too much.
Another fine day. We went over to Killbride and walked out to the beach, from where there is a wonderful view of Arran just across the water. Ice-cream (Arran, of course) on the way back, and later out for a lovely meal en famille at the Kames Hotel.
Posting this a day late. We are home now, after a very wet drive back via Rest and Be Thankful and Loch Lomond. Got soaked in Luss, and held up on the Edinburgh by-pass. Bits of tree all over the drive garden, grass grown a foot in four days ....
