Sea Glass

Whenever I get on the beach when visiting my daughter I look out for sea glass. I have a very small collection and have wanted to do something with them. There are many examples of sea glass art online including what I have done here.

My focus has been drawn back to this glass because my daughter has been researching our family tree and in particular my many times great grandfather who worked at a bottle factory. His death certificate shows him passing away of old age in the township of Seaton Delaval, aged 98, occupation Bottle Maker in 1843. Maybe he wasn't too far off from retiring... 

A visit to the area is planned.
