Plaques
Swithered but swam and was glad I did. The pool was very empty so no dodging other swimmers. Outside it was pouring rain and very windy. Good for the grass seed. Then a free morning because H had had an asthma attack so no NMS class. Got a few bits and pieces done, including sewing my new trousers and rescuing wheelie bins being blown around in the gale force winds. Seems to have worked out ok.
Then to town to have a very long lunch (3 hours) with K. We ranged over a number of topics, ate tapas and drank rosada. I came back via the back of the Museum and spotted the plaque to Charles Darwin, who didn't finish his course at Edinburgh. Went off to London instead. that was mentioned last week at the Usher. Then on the way to the bus stop I spotted the plaque to the Edinburgh Seven, who Darwin supported.
It was after 5 before I got home. Food was not required but I did some tidying up and booked Usher Hall tickets for, May 2026! Now watching the new Netflix show based in Edinburgh, with it appears everyone who is anyone in Scottish TV drama.
