Cotton Pickin'
At 08.05 hrs this morning CMC was outside lifting the first tatties of the year; an impressive return from the first shaw. After breakfast we drove round to the Lash to give Phil his birthday pressie. CMC then departed for the Hoy ferry and I walked home to Creel HQ. The bog cotton, eriophorum angustifolium, seems to have arrived earlier this year. After more light duties I have to go and check the playing conditions are OK inside the Bothy. For tonight is another meeting of the Parish Whisky Club. No Moscow Mules will be sighted. For entrants to the Creel HQ end of year exam the HQ can be seen keeking over the top of the brae - and the Bothy! Remember to form an orderly queue; wherever you are.
