Redcurrants…

… Last year we had no redcurrants. Usually they are the most bountiful crop we have (and we take no credit, they were here before us).
This year, I’m pleased to see them back. (Maybe they were just having a rest?).

Not that I do much with them. When we first moved in I made jelly and shrub from them, but those jars and bottles are still here and will probably last us forever a while yet!
So, mainly the birds enjoy them, which suits us.

The wine forecast is quiet but healthy and it’s chip night! So there are things to celebrate.

We have had a quiet day, building up to a busier weekend. I’ve bought some more wool and a ‘serious’ crochet needle! So sitting still with a podcast has featured today.
Someone will be celebrating a birthday soon. (Which seems odd as (owing to unusual circumstances) we have only just celebrated mine!).
