Today, my marking was interrupted by a call to discuss our consultancy contract, and a call with И, talking to an academic in the US who was interested in how we manage code and software development in HiGHS.
In the evening, when taking Django out for his walk, I couldn't resist the temptation of taking a new Turf zone that has appeared yesterday in the field at the end of the lane across the road from us. If course Hodge had been the first to take it! On our return I called in at the neighbours to water the plants in their poly-tunnel, and took some time to relax in their garden with Django. Finally the tension of spending too long focussing on scanned student handwriting relaxed.
Back home, I couldn't face cooking a risotto for myself, so I went out to Lidl to get supplies that I could cook more quickly. It also gave me a walk into town where there was an atmosphere of social activities, ahead of tomorrow's annual Hunter and Lass parade.
