Sport

I've managed to get some marking done today, although my eyes were soon fatigued after yesterday's session. Hence I distracted myself with some excellent live sport, in the form of the remarkable day in the Giro d'Italia, and a strong showing by (my favoured cricket team) Lancashire against Nottinghamshire. 

I hope the Champions League final will provide an exciting conclusion to the day.

Just after lunch, I went outside to watch the Penicuik parade come past our house. Led by the Penicuik pipe band - that seems to be smaller each year - the (c.50) horses led by the Hunter and Lass are quite a sight. At the end of the parade came the pretty decent Glencorse pipe band, but the rest  was really not worthwhile.
