Flower Friday ...
... with a Skipper Butterfly.
Today was absolutely gor-ge-ous! So after a very quick (and early lunch) we headed up to Jacobsburg State Park to walk along the Sobers Run trail.
But before that happened ... a little update on yesterday's garter snake. When I walked out the door of the sunroom this morning I saw the snake in a different mulched section of our yard. I quickly told Richard about him/her being out there and he prepared to grab him/her so that we could re-home him/her. I obviously didn't want to kill it but I definitely didn't want it in my yard ... going after the chippies and other small creatures. Richard was able to grab it and put it into a lidded pail. And we took him/her to Jacobsburg when we went for our walk. It is not illegal to release wild animals on State game lands so we didn't feel any remorse in doing so. He/she has a whole lot of room to explore now.
Our walk along Sobers Run was lovely with lots of sunshine and sounds of nature. On the way home we made a quick stop at Wegman's for some groceries. Supper was leftovers ... easy peasy.
Thanks to Anni (BikerBear) for keeping Friday's beautiful. Please have a look full screen.
