Silly Saturday ...

... Nazareth Pet Parade!

Wow! What a fun morning we had today!  And silly, too!

We had read that the Memorial Library of Nazareth (PA) was having their annual Pet Parade this morning and we wanted to check it out.  Especially since this is Silly Saturday ... how perfect is that!?!  This pet parade is one of their biggest fund raisers they have each year with all the proceeds ($25 entry fee per animal) going to the Library.

The parade was scheduled to start at 10 am so we were out of the house and in Nazareth with plenty of time to find parking and walk to the Library ... which was the starting place of the parade ... before it got underway.

A lot of the dogs were dressed up as there was also a costume contest.  But many of them simply were being walked by their humans.   My favorites were the corgis and the three legged dog named Henry seen in the lower right.  For some reason I have an affinity to dogs like Henry!  :-)

Not only were there dogs walking the parade route but there were also some ponies, a young girl and her rooster and I even saw another young girl with a pet bunny in specialized pet backpack (not pictured here).  And if you didn't own a pet to parade about you were invited to walk with a stuffed animal if you desired.  We saw a couple of very young girls doing so ... it was adorable.

The parade itself wasn't all that long but there were other activities at a park at the end of the parade route.  Once we watched all the participants walk by us we made our way to this park for some more photo ops.

We really had a wonderful time.  Please have a look full screen.
