Wound up in Wexford

By Neatwithice

A very large crane

They're building a new bridge across the river in Waterford.  It seems to be labelled a "sustainable transport" bridge.  I'm pretty certain that won't include cars, but presumably will include bikes, and maybe the electric scooters that are proliferating around cities these days.

We missed seeing the crane at work, but there are some pictures in this article, but it's still parked up on the river.  It (and the preconstructed sections of bridge it was needed to lift into place) were brought over from Belgium.  The bridge won't be open until the end of 2026.

We were in Waterford for W to attend a routine eye hospital check up, and for me to collect my contact lenses.  We also took the opportunity to visit the newly opened B&Q.
