Between fen and mountains

Here is another Mediterranean wildflower. No apologies for blipping lots of wildflowers as this year they have been so abundant after the drought. Nature has really woken up. We have grass in places which were just parched dry land. We are not out of the woods yet and water restrictions still apply as the water table has not yet recovered. I played the last tennis before going away and was soundly beaten by the visitor I beat during the week. By the time we finished it was too hot anyway. I led the ringing in the afternoon and we had a couple of visitors. I have also been working on my tax as the accountant has sent me two drafts, the first of which gives me a rebate. I thought that odd and I asked for some clarification. I was assured it was right. Out of the blue I received a second draft but requiring the payment of several thousand euros of tax! I have asked someone else to check the declaration as it is very complicated and beyond me. However, the accountants are not inspiring me with confidence. I went to print out newsletters before ringing only to find someone had changed the plug to a french one that does not fit the socket! I had to go home and get my tools to rewire with the original English plug for which we have an adapter. That stops people from the Mairie surreptitiously using our paper and ink!
