It's been a long day, mostly because I woke at 5am, and I've spent most of it standing up ie to avoid sitting. The sitting isn't at all painful, but the getting up isn't nice as I can't bear to put my left foot on the ground. My walking poles have been used an awful lot this last week, standing in for my useless leg!

I went to the Mind shop and had a good two hours there before doing a mammoth shop in Asda. The charity shop is rapidly changing, it's not been the same since Julie retired... which we all knew it wouldn't be but...  Other people are talking about leaving, and Sheridan, the assistant manager, has now secured a job at a different charity shop. Rats, sinking, ship comes to mind.

I unpacked the shopping at home and then walked to the allotment, taking some canes to support the broad beans. I must do something about the horseradish shoots, I can't bend down to chop them off at the moment so I'll maybe have to cover them with old compost sacks and peg them down. Better than nothing. When I reached home there were a lot of messages about climbing tomorrow  :-(  I've decided I'll join them at the crag, I can watch for a while and then go for a walk. And repeat. It'll be good to see them.
