Wound up in Wexford

Navelwort

Cute little flower, almost like a mini-foxglove.  The flower of this plant.

I came across it poking out from amongst the grass, bracken and nettles whilst clearing a bit more of the outside of our roadside ditch.  I was very careful not to disturb this flower.

After one glorious sunny day, yesterday, when we were out all day, today was dull, very windy, and with occasional rain spots.  I filled 8 trugs with assorted weedage, and reckoned that was enough.  W was more energetic.  He's clearing some turf so we can plant the assorted rhododendrons and other shrubs we bought a couple of weeks ago.

He then planted the tomatoes in the polytunnel - grown from seed, they are still a bit small, but hopefully they'll do OK.

I did some fluting, and some sewing.
