Slime Mould

After a hectic week away..today has been a little ‘lazy’…apart from starting to tackle the laundry backlog!! I got some dried outside before the rain arrived around lunchtime.

I did go for a walk (just 3 miles today) and went through the woods to see if any new fungi had made an appearance after the rains. No fungi, but I did find this wonderfully bright slime mould…Wolf’s Milk. The little ‘balls’ are only a few millimetres in diameter.

I used  a little boost from my LED panel as there was not much light reaching ground level through the trees!

Back to ‘normal food’ today..I have a chicken to roast for our dinner tonight - with fresh vegetables :-))
