In between the showers

Another day of mixed weather - not the 1st of June we'd expect! Showery, windy, not very inviting outside, so apart from potting up a nice little African violet, I've stayed indoors. 

Carried on writing up my Irish holiday. It's surprising what you want to know when looking through the pictures - what's that building, that river, what does that sign say? The day that we went over to one of the Aran Islands we'd walked through Doolin looking for the tourist office as I wanted to meet the kind person who'd offered to drive us up to the petrol station to buy food. I asked a couple of people who couldn't tell me, so when we turned off on the road to the pier and I'd photographed the lovely coloured houses in Fisher Street I gave up. Only today when I was cruising the street on Google Street View did I see the sign on one of the cottages. I checked my own picture and there it was! I've put it on as an extra today - the white rectangle on the left end of the left-most house says 'Tourist Information'! Maybe it was round the back!

Anyway, by mid afternoon the rain was off and the wind had died down, so I went for a walk around the local streets, taking pictures of the sea view and the lovely clouds. However my Blip today is of a lovely daylily flowering against a nice purple background.
