Small pleasures

Definitely a weekend of catching up and enjoying being at home.
This is a leftover buckwheat pancake from yesterday, when I cooked tea here for Marianna and the girls. Richard was away doing a folklore talk, and Jack was away on a weekend hiking trip with a friend. So it was girls' night in for us :-)
The leftover pancakes heated up perfectly today, on my venerable chapati pan (I think it's nearly 50 years old, and is ideal for pancakes). Meanwhile, Richard has been using his hot-water pastry skills, after the pie-making workshop he went to recently, and baking a chicken and veg pie for tea.
