Fingers crossed

This fledgling blackbird was spotted just sitting on our patio this afternoon. After watching it for a while and making sure all the cats were kept indoors, I moved it to a higher spot. We kept watch for the next three hours. Apart from testing its wings and actually falling asleep a couple of times it didn’t move away. Eventually - after about four hours - we decided we had to move it outside our back fence where we hoped it would hide in the undergrowth or one of its parents would spot it . Last time we checked it was no longer there Fingers crossed it is safe .
