Dragoni - Almost There

Our last big drive before we settle in our holiday spot with M & D went really smoothly because it was a Sunday and the highway was very quiet.  And then I had a strange thought.  We were driving on the A1, the main autostrada from the North to the South in Italy and the last 2 days the roads have been full of articulated lorries.  Where were all the lorries.  We drove for four hours and not one single HGV.  I guessed, rightly it turned out, that Italy has a ban on all HGV vehicles over 7.5 tons driving on Sundays and holidays.  I have literally never experienced such light traffic, and it didn't dawn on me until we arrived!

Anyway, we did arrive safely in very good time at our Eco sustainable camping spot.  There is no electric hook up, and the lighting is all solar powered.  We are nestled in an orchard in the dark as L doesn't want to attract bugs, but technology means I can hotspot my phone and do this blip.

We are in a small town called Dragoni, and someone just let off a stream of fireworks in the distance, so wondering if there is a local Catholic celebration or something.  Otherwise it is very quiet, and we are surrounded by mountains.  I love how Italians like to build on the side of hills - and so on our short walk, took this of the town.  Extra of the overgrown campsite.
