This morning was misty moisty, so I didn't want to go trooping through the long grass in the Links to pick up poo in Archie's normal place, so we went round the top loop. Actually even further than our usual route, which turned out to be about the same as a Links walk (about 2,000 steps).
JR took him out in the afternoon again, while I managed a 20 minute sssion on the bike. It really helps if I'm watching something engrossing on my iPad. And I was. I've been watching 'A life in 10 Photos' (on BBC iPlayer). Really interesting - people show a photograph of a famous person, and put it in context. It might might be the photographer, or a friend, but they were at important points in their life. I've watched John Lennon (you can guess wht the last photograph was...) Feddie Mercury, Elizabeth Taylor. Fascinating. So fascinating in fact, that I did 20 minutes in one stint on the bike!
Later in the afternoon, we left Archie with his chewy bone, and popped over to Hazel's. We had a fabulous treat - Hazel had spotted it on Instagram. All the goodies in one dish - olives, pistachio nuts, ricotta, chilli flakes, with warm flat breads. Perfect. We caught up on holiday planning - Hazel's latest cruise is imminent. Exciting!
PS I meant to say - yesterday Hazel alerted me to the fact the the young chap who cut our hedge last year was in the neighbourhood. I went over to see him, and to get his contact number. Yes, he'd be happy to do our hedge next time, just let him know. YAY!!
