Boar and other neighbours

An 'at-home' sort of day with quite a lot of Netflix until Gaby called this afternoon for a couple of hours. It's her last day and by 18.00 she was on her way to Izmir airport for her long journey back home to South Africa. She is the first of three 'goodbyes' I will be saying this week as friends go home after several weeks here.

Today's photo of wild boar amongst the grass was taken around 8.30 tonight as Rufus and I walked the side streets to visit Jackie and Nick for the evening.  Boar are very shy creatures there were about a dozen of them nestled in the grass munching and I didn't see them till there were only a few feet away when Rufus barked,  where upon I stopped, waited a couple of minutes, took a quick photo, then turned around and took another way to J and N's place, just in case.
