The railway hotel

A morning of mis timings .. looked at the radar, saw rain incoming, so didn't take the bike out; went to try to see the RSA show before it closes, but it doesn't open until noon on Sundays .. even the chocolate shop on the way back was closed until 11.00 ... but got in just before the rain actually arrived in force. 

Since I was at the National Gallery, there was a blip available of what I still think of as the North British hotel, more recently called The Balmoral, perched above the West exit from Waverley station. History 

There was sunshine and more showers later in the day; we walked round by Inverleith to find the swan family dozing on the path near the pond.
