These gorgeous leaves are at and below eye level - the lowest part of the trunk is covered in them. I thought they look fresh and lovely, and undamaged so far.
I wonder if it really is unusual for the bottom part of a tree trunk to be clothed in leaves. Thus one is at the gate of the nearby primary school.
I did some painting today - undercoat on my french windows. Good to feel I’ve made a bit of progress though there’s still a lot to do. Listening to another audiobook as I go - also Ann Cleeves but set in North Devon. Where my dil comes from. This one is called the Herons Cry. A lot of murders for such a small place:)
