A Unique Planter
I love it when people find a unique way to display flowers. This one is at my local health clinic. The little wagon brought back memories too. I doubt there was any child growing up in the 1950's that didn't have one of these Radio Flyer's little red wagons, full size of course. The company was started in 1917 by Italian immigrant, Antonnio Pasin. In 1927 wanting to make a wagon affordable for every child, Pasin adopted steel stamping mass production techniques inspired by the automobile industry, earning him the nickname "Little Ford". His first wagon was called the Radio Flyer, named after his amazement of the radio and the wonders of flight. They sold for less than $3.00 and even during the Great Depression they sold more than 1500 wagons a day. BTW, it is still a family own business. Just another example of how immigrants made America. (And you thought I was going to talk about flowers!)
