Church Entrance
Late morning we travelled the half hour to Vathi (capital), Ithaca, (Greece) to enjoy a coffee sat at our favourite bar. The ice coffee and thick padded seats is good for an hour of 'people watching' and relaxing.
We had a look around the shops and in a back street the Greek Orthodox church looked absolutely splendid with it's mediterranean blue painted porch and stunning colourful flowers growing up the front. Can you blame me for stopping to take a photo?!
Just off the town is Minimata beach, a small quiet cove, where we set up our own sunbeds under the shade of the Olive trees. So quiet and pretty it's become a favourite.
We're having another night in with a home made greek salad and a few glasses of chilled Rose wine.
