Brodick Bench

The last time Mum and I were in Arran (5 years and 11 months ago), I consciously got her to sit on this very bench to replicate a shot of her own Mum on this same bench with Goatfell as a backdrop.

Today, I directed Dd to do this next generation replica - not as easy as you think but she did a great job!

Arran has played such a big part in my family’s life, through multiple generations, that it is lovely to have been here these last few days after Mum’s funeral.

My extra shows the new Glen Sannox at sea! Our sailing with her was cancelled at the last hour due to a storm forecast and we were, luckily, near enough to Brodick to jump on the preceding sailing on MV Alfred. We passed the Sannox going full blast to Brodick to lay up overnight and await better weather in the morning.
