Projector

I was rearranging some of my models this morning and as I picked this one up I thought “I don’t think I have blipped this”….so here we are! I finished it a while ago but it has just sat on the shelf since.

It is a wooden kit and it actually works.

Turning the handle moves the sprocket mechanism to transport a short piece of ‘film’ and it also turns a small dynamo which powers an LED that flashes in sync with the movements and projects a very small image of a man walking across a stage. The ‘film’ is just a loop..which goes around the reels and not actually wound onto them.

It is fascinating to watch
