Today is a year to the day that Frank was misdiagnosed and told he had only 3 months to live.
That day I was in Malham with my brother who was visiting. Frank had been in hospital with suspected gallstones before being given the awful news that he had Pancreatic and Liver cancer.
3 weeks later he was told it had been a mistake.
It did turn out to be gallstones actually but we were put through hell.
Anyway, we won’t dwell on that now - he is still here to tell the tale. A month ago we booked into Beck Hall Hotel using a gift voucher that Sam and Siobhan had gifted us for Christmas. We didn’t realise when we booked that it was this anniversary!
Well, we’ve had a lovely time despite the rain. The hotel is totally vegan and we each had a massive IndianThali plate then I had sticky toffee pudding.
I’m lying in our room now too full to move and trying to keep awake till at least 9 pm.
Bella has been spoilt rotten with treats from the staff as have all the other dozens of dogs. The manager and staff all love dogs.
Our room is right next to the beck and I can hear the water babbling. It’s so beautiful here.
We are so grateful for life and all it has given us up to now.
