Roll With It

Scotland Day 3 - No Car Day

Tiana made up a picnic in the morning, coffee and toast to set us up, and we were off. We walked from the house through a short cut to Findhorn Bay.
The tide was out as we walked out to the middle of the bay before turning north towards the sea inlet from The Moray Firth and the village of Findhorn.
Glorious, five adults, three dogs, sunshine, fresh sea air, great scenery and even better company.
We walked on dry sand, giving way to wet sand, then to paddling ankle deep and at the end thigh high wading but great fun. Lots to see, yearling Ospreys diving for fish, the dogs enjoying the odd mussel they had dug up, a variety of wildlife and the utter beauty of our surroundings.
We ate our picnic on the public benches in Findhorn, on the opposite side of the road from the church where Joshua and Tiana were married, before walking back along the road.
Sam, Josh and I diverted into the Findhorn Foundation shop for T Bags for Mrs S and additional postcards.

Home for a coffee and to draw breath, a change of shirt before heading off to the base chapel at RAF Lossiemouth. This evening was “The Gathering”, an interdenominational get together over a meal.
Really enjoyable evening.
