Family lunch

Early start to get up to Northumberland. Slightly stymied by TallGirl sleeping in and missing her train. So we hung out with my sis in Durham, picked TG up at the station, and headed north.

Once lunch was lunched, we adjourned to the newly sunny garden for cake and fizz to toast my Aunt on what would have been her birthday.

Then back to Darlo, with men-folk deposited at the station for Edinburgh and Hereford. Sis delivered back to Durham, and me and TallGirl had a walk in Darlo to deliver a note to someone with an anvil in their garden to see if they might want to sell it to CarbBoy! Looked for the kingfisher (failed).

Weirdly spotted that the peanut feeder I’d hung up the day before had gone. A scattering of peanuts on the lane outside was the only evidence it had ever been there (we are blaming / giving the credit to the crows).

Dinner, telly, early night.
