I had a blood test first thing, the traffic was so bad that I got there a bit late, but the nurse still managed to fit me in. She knows me and it's always very quick. Then, I walk Django and spent time on my diary. In the afternoon, I met up with Katya in Musselburgh. She has a form that needs to be countersigned by a witness and her local librarian was not comfortable doing it, so I suggested going to see one of my ex-colleague who I know would have no problem with it - and it gave me the chance to catch-up with them too. It was then off to Portobello, where I met my friend Catherine for a coffee and cake at the Beach House Café. It was good to have a proper chat - we see each other rowing but we can't really have a proper conversation in the boat. I was rowing afterwards - it was very windy but safe, particularly as the crew was very experienced. Finally, I went to my band rehearsal. There is a gig on Sunday (that I will miss), so we went through the whole programme for that.
