Substitute

I was photographing alliums nearby, when I saw an unexpected movement. To my surprise, a hummingbird where I have not seen one before. I know they are attracted to red cardinal flowers in the prairie (which aren't out yet), so maybe this red columbine flower is a substitute. 

I feel lucky when I see a hummingbird and more so to have taken a photo of one (and I only got one shot).
