At Hole in the wall: harvested wheat field....

About a week ago, I think I blipped this golden wheat field. Changed now. Cut, harvested, threshed, grain store filled, gone.

The straw product taken too, cut, baled, gone.

Sam enjoyed hearing the left over stalks popping in his tyres. Another week and a little more rain, and this field will be ploughed over again and drilled to winter crop. No waste, no wasted time, its a productive field..... This field, standing on a slow slope affords it good drainage. There are many who sadly realised flooding, ruined harvests, and lost investment. This years summer was a blessing.
