I'm not saying my retired life has settled into a predictable routine of minor, unexciting tasks but I did the things I usually do on a Tuesday - go for the paper, drink some coffee and then head to Tesco to pick up the shopping. The gusty headwind as I rolled home added something though I wouldn't call it excitement and nothing (that wasn't supposed to) hotted up in the afternoon as I carefully rewired the smoker and tested to see if its new element would blow fuses or blow up which, of course, it didn't.
