Crystal clear

I walked the dog early this morning and although it was cooling a bit the light was so clear that every layer of the countryside seemed fully in focus. 

I had a quiet morning in the home office.  Did a bit of reading and caught up with emails.  Two interesting calls, one with a writer who has been writing on other people’s shows and is now ready to return to a bit of development that we have at channel 4.  Good to be talking again and she also pitched me a new idea.   And another call with an old colleague who wants to join forces on an Irish set show which would be good for us all. 

At tea time I went over to see Mum and to meet her new carer, Nicky. Her garden was brillliantly colourful and Nicky had picked a spray of red red roses that she said were hidden so she might as well bring them in to brighten up the house.  Woman after my own heart!
