Cartmel Racecourse

We popped over to Cartmel this afternoon to check out one of the pubs there for a family meal next month.  

Santana has been researching his family on Ancestry and has linked up with a distant cousin.  She and the family are going to come north on a flying visit and are keen to meet up for dinner.  

The pub seemed very friendly and we would be able to have a small room for our party, which would be ideal.

We wandered around the village and bought some cheese from Unsworths Yard to use in a recipe for dinner.

Very, very windy here but bright and sunny.  Needed a puffer jacket, though.
