Brancaster Staithe
I've had a busy but very enjoyable day. I enjoyed a sunny walk into town this morning to order some mounts for some photos that I'll be exhibiting at our annual camera club exhibition. Later, M and I had a very nice lunch at the Blakeney hotel. We used a voucher that he received from our friends, given to celebrate his 70th Birthday in March. It was all delicious. His special birthday just keeps on giving!
This evening our camera club held a photoshoot at Brancaster Staithe. We were so lucky with the weather. It's a working harbour so lots of boats and equipment for dealing with mussels and lobsters/crabs. There is a derelict boat which is currently home to some nesting swallows. I was pleased to see that the owners were taking the trouble to keep it spick and span, evident by the bottle of 'Flash' cleaning liquid in the wheel house (see Extra).
The last extra is rather a muddy shot but includes a spoonbill and an egret which were so good to see.
