Coffee with Ruth

I spent much of the morning catching up with Greek preparation for this evening's online class. We're ticking over together, in the group, though I think we're all a bit frustrated with the slow progress that goes with being an adult learner with many other commitments. Still, onwards and upwards. And at least we all get on with each other, as we stumble through our hesitant conversations. 
After lunch I set off earlier than usual for the Eben and Luca after-school pick-up, as Ruth and I had identified a little slot for an early afternoon coffee together. Uninterrupted time together is a rare treat. In the cafe, I as I waited for her to lock up her bike, I was struck by the reflections we could see from the outdoor tables, dotted with the glowing lights indoors.
