Yellow faced fellow

I had breakfast with a friend, therapy, did a mail pickup then a cardiology appt, and with a temp of only 91°/33° outside, it was perfect to add a walk around the neighborhood and sit out back for a while. That's where I got this photo of a verdin sitting on a branch of the Texas Ranger bush. After resting on the branch, it stopped for a drink from the water dish before flying to parts unknown. I'm guessing that it may be back later for some of the fresh, juicy oranges I hung in the yard. Baseball (and popcorn) coming up this evening! Couldn't be a better day.
